From Fresh to French

At Publicis Machine, we love and recognise fresh: fresh ideas, fresh faces, fresh talent. 2015 saw 6 out of our 10 grads permanently placed, and now in 2016 we’ve just welcomed 9 fresh new faces to the team at our Jozi and Cape Town agencies. These guys have been exposed to #underthehood ( They’ve beaten hundreds of others to get here, they’ve fallen in love with us and we’ve fallen in love with them, and they’ve quickly become a part of our Publicis Machine family. We thought we’d let them introduce themselves to you in the same way they introduced themselves to us.

We’re proud to welcome:

Abigail Latilla:

Hey there! Abi here. I’m excited to have started at Publicis Machine today! A few things about me. I am a graduate from Vega JHB. I consider myself a passionate foodie with a side passion for cooking. I love animals of all sizes (The weirdest pet I’ve had was a very cute meerkat). And finally my favourite calorie burner is laughing.

Giulia Beninca:

Hey there! I am Giulia, or known as Julz. I spent a few weeks with the wonderful Publicis Machine peeps in Jozi last year as a new blood copywriter. I was lucky enough to be invited back! I think that maybe the Mexican Fiesta Christmas party had something to do with it!? But for real; I am a recent graduate of Vega school Durbs. Moved up to Jozi for Publicis and I am super happy to be here with my creative family!

Vuyo Jongile:

I am dreadfully shy at first and an impulsive hugger once I know you well enough. I believe in the heart of a dog (sweet sweet sweet creatures), I can’t hear a song I love without miming along to the lyrics (regardless of where I am – and I know A LOT OF SONGS), and I am a self-proclaimed 30seconds CHAMP (that’s Miss CHAMP to those tempted to steal my title).

Lwavela Poyo:

Hi everyone my name is Lwavela and my fancy surname is Poyo. I am my own catfish. I am a recent Digify Graduate and I am super amped to be here.

David Bretherton:

My name is Dave. I’m working with the power team that is Incentiv. Young, and confused, I’m excited to begin my adventure in this industry with what already seems like an awesome bunch of people!

Dominica Wannenburg:

I'm Dominica, Narrative's new designer! Much of my life is spent reading fantasy books, playing table top role-play games, and annoying my cat. (His name is Cat because I suck at names). Super happy to be here!

Sam Newdigate:

Hi! I'm Sam and I started today as a copywriter in Studio CPT. I love film, hate tomatoes and am 1067th in the world for amateur tantric dancing (maybe).

Stella Scalabrino:

My name is Stella and I'll be interning for Client Service on the rad Red Bull account. You'll usually spot me by the bun on my head (a go-to hairdo for me) and a coffee in hand. I am genuinely very excited about being here.

It’s always great to expand our family, so welcome aboard grads. We’re excited to have every one of you with us. And these will hardly be the only additions this year! Keep an eye on our career and Facebook pages for more postings and to keep up with all the new faces.
