After graduating in marketing and business administration, Neal entered the media world as a print media sales executive on CAR magazine. His business and entrepreneurial savviness quickly took hold in 1999 when he launched RamsayMedia’s digital business. Less than a decade later the digital publishing business unit represented the full spectrum of owned media brands delivering audience sizes larger than the traditional print titles and significant digital revenues. He was also a founding member of the Online Publishers Association that is today the IAB. A decade later in 2009 he started yet another business in the RamsayMedia stable, this time in content marketing, kicking it off with blue chip publishing contracts from Sanlam and Toyota. His entrepreneurial talent didn’t end there as in 2012 he cofounded Narrative, a content marketing specialist agency within the Publicis Machine stable that very quickly attracted Sanlam and Massbuild into the agency start-up. In 2015 Narrative was a finalist for Specialist Agency of the Year at AdFocus and has won multiple industry publishing awards every year. Today, Neal has entered into another phase of his brand communication journey as Managing Director of Publicis Machine in Cape Town.

In 2004, at the age of 26, Adrian Hewlett founded The Habari Group, a media and marketing communications company. The company was the partner to MSN in Africa for seven years and then went on to launch the commercial operations for Facebook in Africa in 2010, while counting the likes of the BBC and LinkedIn amongst its partners.
Habari Media won the Best Digital Media Sales House award at the 2010 Bookmark Awards. In the same year Hewlett was awarded the Greatest Individual Contribution to Digital Media and Marketing. In 2011, The Mail and Guardian named him one of the Top 200 Young South Africans.
In 2012 with an annual group turnover of R150 million, Adrian led the company through a major re-organisation of its agency offering which saw the consolidation and launch of Machine, now one of South Africa’s leading integrated digitally focused agencies. Machine was ranked 9th at the Loeries in 2012. At the 2013 Finweek Adreview, Adrian was recognized as the individual Ad Achiever of the year for his role in the greater advertising industry and for Machine as Breakthrough Agency of the Year. In 2014 Machine was ranked as the “national agency to watch” in the MarkLives agency survey. Adrian grew up in Mozambique and speaks fluent French and Portuguese.

Wimpie Le Roux
Wimpie has 16 years of large agency experience (FCB) in South Africa. He has managed a multitude of different brands spanning across a number of industries including FMCG, Telecommunications, Automotive, Financial Services and Utilities. In early 2014 he joined Publicis Machine to help drive the growth of the business in South Africa. He strongly believes in the value of honest relationships with staff & clients alike - "If the relationships are good, the work will be good and consequently the business results will follow". Outside of work Wimpie loves participating in endurance events like triathlons and mountain biking races.
